Graphical Abstract
The Front Cover shows a potent 3-methoxy-pyrrole-imine small molecule which internalized into the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of cervical cancer cells (HeLa) and triggered ER stress causing programmed cell death (apoptosis). The background shows the confocal laser scanning microscopy images of the HeLa cells where the ER is stained with ER-Tracker Red dye. Homing of the lead 3-methoxy-pyrrole-imine (green fluorescence) generates the merged yellow fluorescence. Graphic “Endoplasmic reticulum” from DBCLS/Yayamamo, available reused through CC-BY 4.0.
